Wonderland Books in Putnam, CT

Wonderland Books in Putnam, CT has become the first store to stock "Swords of the Six." They have a unique place full of book corners to discover new titles. I will be appearing for a booksigning there on April 18th. Come see me if you are in the area. It is the only independent bookstore in the area.

Otis Library in Norwich has also agreed to host me. The booksigning has been scheduled for the month of May.

Busy, busy, busy... selling, promoting... a success has to be earned.

Hardcover coming!

I have been busy to a frazzle lately. I haven't had a day off at my night job for almost two weeks. But in the midst of that I made the decision to start the ball rolling for Swords of the Six to be printed in hardcover with dust jacket, instead of softcover only.

Hardcover edition of Swords of the Six will retail for $34.95 and will release a few weeks after the softcover is selling. I am a book collector. I love hardcover editions; so this decision is largely a selfish one!

Tomorrow I will receive a small shipment of my novel. And a few weeks from now 1,500 copies will arrive.

I have to go for now, but later I want to post about something I am learning in my fiction book marketing: wether or not to promote my writing as Christian or attempt to slip it into secular circles (covertly).

WELCOME TO THE WRITING SITE OF SCOTT APPLETON

"Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones." -Proverbs 16:24

In a world where morality is forsaken and Christ neglected, wholesome books are uncommon. The themes of my writing are love, self-sacrifice, and honor.

I see my generation turning from God to the gods of this world. I see homes torn apart in the pursuit of pleasure and self-gratification. Children are murdered by the millions every year . . . without ever seeing the world outside their mothers' wombs. Through fiction I strive to encourage those who are willing, to stand against these things and be heroes and heroines; chivalrous, gentle, full of righteous indignation, and the fear and love of their Creator.
