The Book Tour Begins!

The Crystal Mall in Waterford CT was busy yesterday. Even though there seemed to be less traffic than previous years (for a Black Friday) my signing at the Borders Express went phenomenally well. They had about 78-books on hand and we SOLD OUT ...yep! every last copy found a home!

That signing lasted an unprecedented 8-hours and, needless to say, when Kelley and I got in the car and headed for New Jersey, I was rather tired. But we arrived safely and today were prepared to head southward for another signing. Unfortunately there was a mixup and the store has none of my books in stock. So I made a call to the Borders Express in Staten Island (where we had great success last time and they'd asked me to come back asap) and they were more than willing to accomodate me today! Praise God!
Now here is a look for all of you interested in seeing my trip setup. I've got a brand new trailer loaded with books hooked up to a '92 oldsmobil... But it works! Actually the ride was very nice.

I got to Dixie Heights Highschool, which is in Edgewood Kentucky I believe. Feel free to contact them. I was a little nervous about that 100 bucks thing...but they may be all for it. There's a few creative writing/english classes I'm sure would love to have you.

Nathan, I talked to your school librarian. She's checking with your principle but I think it's a go. If so, see you December 15th/16th

See you then!

Excellent! I'm looking forward to that. My focus is changing from stores to schools. I can reach so many more readers than any other event (save a Fair, perhaps)!

Oh definitely. Schools seem to work very well for that kinda thing. Peer pressure, lack of anything to do ;) ::laughs:: All can contribute to getting readers ;) jk jk

We're all really excited :D

WELCOME TO THE WRITING SITE OF SCOTT APPLETON

"Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones." -Proverbs 16:24

In a world where morality is forsaken and Christ neglected, wholesome books are uncommon. The themes of my writing are love, self-sacrifice, and honor.

I see my generation turning from God to the gods of this world. I see homes torn apart in the pursuit of pleasure and self-gratification. Children are murdered by the millions every year . . . without ever seeing the world outside their mothers' wombs. Through fiction I strive to encourage those who are willing, to stand against these things and be heroes and heroines; chivalrous, gentle, full of righteous indignation, and the fear and love of their Creator.
