I now offer Editing Services!

I'm pleased to announce that I have decided to offer my services in helping aspiring writers become authors. I have so often been approached by various writers, and it gives me a sense of satisfaction to share my knowledge and experience.
I have started by renovating my website with an all-new-look modeled after my blog's design. Please refer to the new page on my site labeled "Services."
As time permits, I plan to add as much helpful information as I can so that aspiring authors can learn from my successes and my mistakes.
In the mean time, please check out the new page and let me know what you think of it!

This is pretty cool Mr.Appleton. Love the new look on your website. I really like that you made it match your blog, it looks really nice. Maybe I'll use your editing service someday. Looking forward to hearing more helpful writing tips from you. Thank you :-)

Glad to hear someone took you up on your awesome service on editing. Oh, I would love to be your next customer, but I’m still working on polishing up my book myself... I have some holes I need to smooth out, before giving to a professional editor. Hopefully sometime during this year I’ll be able to use your service... You know, I’m going to for sure try to plan on that :-) Until then I hope you get a lot more customers.
I do have one question for your Full Line Edit Service... Do you use the industry standard of 250 words per page or do you allow more words per page?
God’s care,
~Ryan

At this time I don't use the industry standard. I allow more words, as long as someone doesn't take obvious advantage of it with super-long paragraphs!

WELCOME TO THE WRITING SITE OF SCOTT APPLETON

"Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones." -Proverbs 16:24

In a world where morality is forsaken and Christ neglected, wholesome books are uncommon. The themes of my writing are love, self-sacrifice, and honor.

I see my generation turning from God to the gods of this world. I see homes torn apart in the pursuit of pleasure and self-gratification. Children are murdered by the millions every year . . . without ever seeing the world outside their mothers' wombs. Through fiction I strive to encourage those who are willing, to stand against these things and be heroes and heroines; chivalrous, gentle, full of righteous indignation, and the fear and love of their Creator.
