Back Home

I'm settling down in my appartment for a night of relaxation before a crazy week (we're moving out of our appartment and this coming Saturday is the last day we can be in residency). So this week is devoted to moving; no signings. But November is right around the corner and I am booked for a boat-load of events.

The New York trip was successful. In Buffalo my wife and I sold 18 books in 2-hours, to the delight of the store manager. The next day we stopped in Horseheads for another scheduled signing. Unfortunately the manager had mixed up the dates and they did not yet have my book in stock. I had 8-copies in the car, so Kelley and I brought those in and sold them all. ...You'll notice I've been saying 'we' instead of 'I' and that is because my wife is becoming more efficient making sales. I walk away from time-to-time and she keeps things rolling with the customers. It's handy having someone in my corner who's equally enthusiastic about the story.

Well, I have a busy week ahead of me. My wife and I are going to watch the new episode of Stargate Universe!

WELCOME TO THE WRITING SITE OF SCOTT APPLETON

"Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones." -Proverbs 16:24

In a world where morality is forsaken and Christ neglected, wholesome books are uncommon. The themes of my writing are love, self-sacrifice, and honor.

I see my generation turning from God to the gods of this world. I see homes torn apart in the pursuit of pleasure and self-gratification. Children are murdered by the millions every year . . . without ever seeing the world outside their mothers' wombs. Through fiction I strive to encourage those who are willing, to stand against these things and be heroes and heroines; chivalrous, gentle, full of righteous indignation, and the fear and love of their Creator.
