"Moses & the Lamb" contracted

I'm pleased to announce that Long Story Short, the ezine, has accepted my short speculative fiction story "Moses & the Lamb" for publication. This story is my second fiction piece contracted.

I just arrived in NC and decided to check my email. This acceptance was a lovely surprise.

Long Story Short will publish "Moses & the Lamb" on April 7th. When it appears in the ezine, I will post here and place a teaser line to pique your interest.

I'm actually in TN now. I was in NC for a couple days, now I'm at author Bryan Davis's house. I'll be here through Thursday morning, then I'm driving to the publisher in Chattanooga to discuss the novel, and from there to GA for a friend's wedding, and then back to NC for a few days before heading back home.

I just caught up on all the info here; it sure is looking very good! Getting a paying job writing but still getting short stories published, getting courted by a big publishing firm for your novels; you are on your way!
We're thinking of you and hoping you get that contract here in Canterbury-good luck!

Nice to see you here, Sharon! Welcome to my blog and thanks for the feedback. Some people send emails, some post comments, I enjoy hearing them all! I'll be certain and let you know how it all goes with the publisher.

Well, that is quite the road trip, huh? :) If you happen to pass through the Guevremont & Denham territory, please do let us know!! Maybe we could all meet for a meal. :) And know that there is always a place to stay at our place. We'll be sure to feed you breakfast too. Haha.

Oh, yes! I am! I've found three sisters I never met before! "Mr. Bunn" is great fun! I'll be posting some photos of my stay, tonight or tomorrow morning. I'll be sorry to leave.

Give Mr. Bunn a hug for me if you will? I miss her too. And Legossi. And Rachel. And their horses. And the cats. And Callista. Shoot, I even miss Caleb :P

I know what you mean, I feel like I have three sisters, two brothers (Caleb and James), a Mom, and a Dad. I can't wait till I get to visit them again!

WELCOME TO THE WRITING SITE OF SCOTT APPLETON

"Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones." -Proverbs 16:24

In a world where morality is forsaken and Christ neglected, wholesome books are uncommon. The themes of my writing are love, self-sacrifice, and honor.

I see my generation turning from God to the gods of this world. I see homes torn apart in the pursuit of pleasure and self-gratification. Children are murdered by the millions every year . . . without ever seeing the world outside their mothers' wombs. Through fiction I strive to encourage those who are willing, to stand against these things and be heroes and heroines; chivalrous, gentle, full of righteous indignation, and the fear and love of their Creator.
