Update & little R&R

Friday I had the great pleasure of speaking to a fellowship of Christians in Gales Ferry, CT. This was a perfect opportunity to talk about my writing to people who had an interest before coming to the event. I want to thank Susan Miller for generously giving of her time to arrange the event and drawing people in.
Today I visited Waldenbooks in Trumbull, CT. The store is large as far as Waldenbooks locations go and it is located in a busy mall. They had 25 copies of my novel in stock when I arrived and I hand-sold 18 of those! If I had stayed longer I could have sold them out, but I preferred to leave some on the shelves. Besides, several people are definitely going to return for copies. This was a very successful event and very encouraging!
Tomorrow is a day of rest and relaxation for my wife and I. These weeks have been hectic for both of us. She has been doing several cleaning jobs which augment my income and is a wonderful hard worker. God has blessed me with so much. I am really looking forward to see what he has planned for my future.

It's good to see things going so well for Swords of the Six. Enjoy your rest.

WELCOME TO THE WRITING SITE OF SCOTT APPLETON

"Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones." -Proverbs 16:24

In a world where morality is forsaken and Christ neglected, wholesome books are uncommon. The themes of my writing are love, self-sacrifice, and honor.

I see my generation turning from God to the gods of this world. I see homes torn apart in the pursuit of pleasure and self-gratification. Children are murdered by the millions every year . . . without ever seeing the world outside their mothers' wombs. Through fiction I strive to encourage those who are willing, to stand against these things and be heroes and heroines; chivalrous, gentle, full of righteous indignation, and the fear and love of their Creator.
