Slow Weekend

Yep, I'm in this picture if you look closely! I'm signing behind the lady on the right. This weekend was very slow. I still sold books at all three events, but overall it felt a bit disappointing. First off the Mohegan Sun event was pitiful. I sold a single book. I did, however, meet a couple teachers and they are going to get the book into Norwich Free Academy. On Saturday I returned to N. Attleborough and the weather was gorgeous and only a few people came by, so I sold a handful of copies. And in Vermont I sold 4... but I think I left a good impact on that store and I know at least 1 more copy sold after I left.
Ah well, you gain some and you lose some. This weekend should be good and October is round the corner. Christmas shopping will soon begin.
Please pray that I will get all that I need to accomplish this week done. I have a loaded platter.

WELCOME TO THE WRITING SITE OF SCOTT APPLETON

"Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones." -Proverbs 16:24

In a world where morality is forsaken and Christ neglected, wholesome books are uncommon. The themes of my writing are love, self-sacrifice, and honor.

I see my generation turning from God to the gods of this world. I see homes torn apart in the pursuit of pleasure and self-gratification. Children are murdered by the millions every year . . . without ever seeing the world outside their mothers' wombs. Through fiction I strive to encourage those who are willing, to stand against these things and be heroes and heroines; chivalrous, gentle, full of righteous indignation, and the fear and love of their Creator.
