Over 2,000-copies of "Swords of the Six" have Sold!

Yesterday and today I spoke to nearly 800 students at Sunman-Dearborn Intermediate School in southern Indiana. The response was awesome! My wife handled the sales while I signed books, posters, and cards. We sold close to 100 books and tomorrow are returning at 2 o'clock to sign more!

This event pushed the total count of Swords of the Six sales to 2,050... that's in about 7-months (since the release in March of this year). Yep, now moving on to the three-thousand-book milestone.

I remember when the book first printed and the first 1500-copies arrived... it looked like a mountain of books to sell. It is very rewarding to realize I've sold so many more copies than that. Next year I'll focus on schools. Stores don't sell nearly as well as schools and, also, I am reaching my target audience directly.

The few weeks around Christmas are difficult to get events. I'll be focusing on writing my second novel instead of events. But I do need events for January. If you live in the St. Louis, Missouri area then be sure to let me know. I need to target some schools for January 7th-19th.

The Lord has been teaching me some things as we travel. Both my wife and I long to lead a simpler life...and I intend to follow through on that goal. We are so comfortable in America, we need to get back to the basics and really live. I feel alive when I write and, yet, there are so many things to distract me that I recognize I often do not reach my true potential. ...Anyways, there are some thoughts from this writer to his readers!

Yeah man! It does seem schools sell better. You have more time to hook them and more people ready to buy. So if ever you return, you're welcome back at Dixie.

WELCOME TO THE WRITING SITE OF SCOTT APPLETON

"Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones." -Proverbs 16:24

In a world where morality is forsaken and Christ neglected, wholesome books are uncommon. The themes of my writing are love, self-sacrifice, and honor.

I see my generation turning from God to the gods of this world. I see homes torn apart in the pursuit of pleasure and self-gratification. Children are murdered by the millions every year . . . without ever seeing the world outside their mothers' wombs. Through fiction I strive to encourage those who are willing, to stand against these things and be heroes and heroines; chivalrous, gentle, full of righteous indignation, and the fear and love of their Creator.
